Martin is a research associate at the Chair of Econometrics at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. Besides teaching econometrics, he gives courses in data science, statistical learning, and statistical programming. He holds degrees in economics and pursues his PhD in quantitative methods, using R on a daily basis. He co-authored Introduction to Econometrics with R and is interested in educational research.
